Furthermore, 73 per cent do not want fox hunting to be made legal again. 81 per cent were opposed to bringing back deer hunting, and 82 per cent were opposed to changing the law to allow hare hunting or coursing. Like the majority of people in this country we believe that they should leave our wildlife alone. Like the majority we believe the Hunting Act should be enforced. Until the ban takes effect we will remain out in the fields.

Prior to the Hunting Act coming into force, or even being voted through in Parliament, the hunting fraternity claimed that up to 40,000 people signed a declaration to defy the law and face the consequences of any ensuing prosecution. If somebody publicly declares that they are going to set out to break the law, can you trust them when they claim that they don't intend to break it? Add to this the fact that since the Act came in, we have witnessed activity that is clearly hunting - although not always been able to gather the appropriate evidence. The camera never lies and also saves lives.

We desperately need lightweight digital video cameras that are easier to carry over difficult terrain, have better zoom capabilities and longer battery life. If you can donate any modern video equipment or can make a donation towards the purchase of new video cameras, please get in touch. The more cameras we have out in the field, the better protected the animals are.

The great news is that in some circumstances - like that described above - the presence of a camera is enough to save an animal's life! It is vital that we maintain a presence. We can only do this with your help. More....
